Julia Marshall 

Julia Marshall is Professor Emeritus of Art Education at San Francisco State University. She is the coauthor with David M. Donahue of Art Centered-Learning Across the Curriculum: Integrating Contemporary Art in the Secondary School Classroom (2014) and Integrating the Visual Arts Across the Curriculum: An Elementary and Middle School Guide (2019) both published by Teachers College Press. She is the author of multiple articles and book chapters on creativity, art integration and contemporary art.

Connie Stewart

Connie Stewart is a Professor at the University of Northern Colorado, Area Head of Art Education. She directed the Center for Integrated Arts Education and currently directs the UNC Art Education Speaker series bringing teachers, artists and educational leaders together to explore topics of transdisciplinary learning and contemporary art practice.  She was the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts: ARTWORKS grants.  She speaks frequently at state, regional, and national conferences. Publications include “The Dangerous Power of Art Education (2019) , “What is Your Worth? Art and Labor” Art Education, (2017),  “The Trickster and The Questionability of Questions”. Art Education, (2009)  and a forward to Marshall, J. (2019) Visual Arts Through Creative Inquiry: An Elementary and Middle School Guide (2019), Teachers College Press.

Anne Thulson

Anne Thulson, an Associate Professor at Metropolitan State University, uses her 20 years of experience teaching contemporary art to children to facilitate work-shops and professional develop-ment for K-12 art teachers. She presents frequently at state and national conferences, including keynotes at Montana Public Schools, TAB Western Conference, and UNC Charlotte, NC. Her research on contemporary art with young children has been published as articles and chapters in national journals and books, most recently, Wicked Art Assignments: Practicing Creativity in Contemporary Arts (2021). She has edited Collage, Journal of Colorado Art Education Association, is a guest reviewer for Art Education, Journal of National Art Education Association, and member of review board for VAR Visual Arts Research Journal.
